My European vacation.
Finally, after 12 long years i made it back to Europe!
And it’s not that i didn’t want to go, i was just so busy with life, having children, building a business, that taking a 10 days vacation was not an option for me.
Let me tell you, there is nothing like Europe, especially in the summer months….well, at least for me.
I promised myself that i will completely unplug, no emails, no phones (only to take pictures), just relax, enjoy delicious food and wine, the most incredible weather and some major vitamin SEA!
And i went to Croatia with my husband, my older son and my very close friends.
It was a vacation i will never forget. It had completely woken up all my senses, got me so reenergized and inspired that i came back a brand new person, mentally and physically.
Well, let me share with you some of my favorite moments, inspirations in design, color and textiles.
I felt in love with Croatia the minute i crossed Croatian border. The weather without a hint of humidity, the freshest air from the hills and sea welcomed me with a beautiful sunshine and the most incredible views.
But when i arrived at our hotel, i was completely blown away with a style and character of this magical place.
Hotel.
Small towns, big artist, huge talent
My obsession with doors just got real there…
European attitude
The art of doing nothing…
Food, wine, ice cream
Istria, the county that we stayed in is known for their truffles, delicious local wines,
the most incredible polenta, olive oil and lavender.
And of course mediterranean seafood, fresh fruits and all of my favorite, ice-cream:))
Polenta with black truffles was officially the best dish i ever had.
Everything just tastes different there…
Thank you to the magical effects of lavender, i slept like a baby 🙂
European Style.
I was so inspired by the combination of old and new in this beautiful country.
This particular hotel and a restaurant was designed to a perfection with just enough
amount of style, color and elegance!
Italian way …
We spent only one day in Italy, but it was enough to be infused with the Italian style,
love for fashion and beautiful details.
